KORRODUR® by Schwegmann is a corrosion protection additive for solvent-borne coating systems. It is based on organic/inorganic modified tannin derivative in solvent mixture. Shows compatibility with alkyd resin, epoxy, chlorinated rubber and acrylic binders. Offers conversion of residual rust into non-corroding iron tannate, providing long-term protection against corrosion. If there is any moisture present it will be emulsified into the film during painting and will evaporate during drying. It is suitable for DIY systems, anticorrosive primers, one-coat anticorrosive and maintenance finishes. KORRODUR® has a recommended shelf life is 12 months and dosage level is 3.0-5.0% and for unpigmented systems 7.0-8.0%.
