KORRODUR® AL 2 by Schwegmann acts as a corrosion inhibitor. Organically/inorganically modified tannin derivative in solvent mixture. It is a transparent light brown liquid. KORRODUR® AL 2 ensures good penetration of the residual rust particles, dirt and wetting of badly degreased surfaces and thus promotes adhesion. Recommended for solvent borne and alkyd resin paints, anticorrosive primers, one-coat anti-corrosive systems and maintenance systems. The recommended dosage is 3.0-5.0%. KORRODUR® by Schwegmann is a corrosion protection additive for solvent-borne coating systems. It is based on organic/inorganic modified tannin derivative in solvent mixture. Shows compatibility with alkyd resin, epoxy, chlorinated rubber and acrylic binders. Offers conversion of residual rust into non-corroding iron tannate, providing long-term protection against corrosion. If there is any moisture present it will be emulsified into the film during painting and will evaporate during drying. It is suitable for DIY systems, anticorrosive primers, one-coat anticorrosive and maintenance finishes. KORRODUR® has a recommended shelf life is 12 months and dosage level is 3.0-5.0% and for unpigmented systems 7.0-8.0%.
