SS-SOL 30EK is a colloidal silica (dispersed in methyl ethyl ketone (MEK)). Acts as a hydrophilizing agent and adhesion modifier/promoter. Exhibits weather-resistance and prevents shrinkage and crazing. Improves adhesion, hardness, durability, stiffness, abrasion and electrical insulating properties. Helps in the preservation or renewability of hydrophilic nature of planographic paper printing plates by improving resistance to encroachment by the oil-ink. It is compatible with thermoplastic polymers such as polyethylene & polyfluoroethylene, and other metal surfaces. Used in colored coatings on glass fibers, lithographic printing art, offset printing, paper coatings and coatings inside electric light bulbs (to diffuse light without adsorption).
