HEXAFOR™ 685 by Maflon is a polymeric fluorinated additive for solvent-based systems. It reduces surface tension, cratering, fish eyes, and orange peel effect. It improves wetting and leveling properties. It is based on short fluorinated chains, with 6 perfluorinated carbon atoms, that cannot breakdown to PFOA in the environment. It exhibits foam stabilization and high thermal stability. HEXAFOR™ 685 is suitable for automotive-, industrial-, can-, wood- and furniture coatings. The shelf life of the grade is 2 years.
