Sillitin® V 85 by Hoffmann Mineral acts as a functional filler. It is a natural combination of corpuscular silica and lamellar kaolinite. It can be used on its own or combined with other extenders or flatting agents. It is quick drying and exhibits low tendency to settle, good wet edge strength and very good flatting effect. Suitable for exterior & interior emulsion-, silicate- & industrial paints, primers & fillers, varnishes, wood- and foil coatings.
  • It possesses excellent dispersion properties and relatively low yield point with a high solids content.
  • It achieves good transparency with a low yellow tinge in unpigmented coatings.
  • It offers breathability, high filling ratio, good pigment dispersion (spacer effect) as well as abrasion-, scratch- & weathering resistance.
  • Sillitin® V 85 is used in water-, solvent-free & solvent-based systems, corrosion protection-, metal- and soft-feel plastic coatings.
  • It complies with the standards on basic foodstuffs of the BfR and FDA.
  • The recommended metering level is up to 55% depending on intended application.
