Esacure KTO 46 distributed by DKSH is a stable liquid mixture of trimethylbenzoyldiphenylphosphineoxide and hydroxy ketones and benzophenone derivatives. It is particularly indicated for the photopolymerization of UV curable pigmented systems when high reactivity, low curing odor and low yellowing are required.
- It is soluble in most common organic solvents, monomers, and oligomers for UV applications while being insoluble in water.
- It is used in white pigmented coatings, clear high-thickness coatings, and printing inks such as silk screen, offset, gravure, and lithographic inks.
- It is recommended at 3–8% by weight depending on system composition, thickness, and desired cure speed.
