DOWSIL™ 56 Additive

DOWSIL™ 56 Additive distributed by DKSH acts as a leveling agent. It is a siloxane additive that eliminates microfoam. It offers outstanding antifoam efficiency at elevated temperatures, increases gloss and improves mar resistance. It aids dispersion of damp pigments and helps orient pigments in metallic-effect finishes.

• It is recoatable when used as directed and is effective at low concentrations.
• It is compatible with acrylic, alkyd, epoxy, nitrocellulose, polyesters, polyurethane and vinyl systems.
• It is used in water-based and solvent-based wood coatings and industrial coatings.
• DOWSIL™ 56 Additive is suitable for automotive paints, can and coil coatings, architectural and decorative coatings, and printing inks.
• It is effective at concentrations typically ranging from 0.05 to 2.0 weight percent, based upon total formulation.
• DOWSIL™ 56 Additive has a shelf life of 36 months from date of manufacture.
