CristolBrite™ by C.E.D. Process Minerals, Inc. is a high purity silica-based flatting agent. It is the thermally modified quartz produced from synthesized cristobalite. It is resistant to ultraviolet radiation. It does not absorb moisture and is chemically inert. It imparts extreme brightness and enhances strength, durability as well as dimensional stability in a wide range of temperature. It offers fissured as well as inert surface, low moisture, low density and high whiteness as well as hardness. CristolBrite™ is used for clear coats, varnishes and high wear coatings. It is also used for marine-, architectural-, and powder coatings applications.
