Borchi® Kat 24 by Borchers (Milliken) is a highly reactive bismuth octoate tin-free catalyst. It is recommended for solvent-based one and two-component polyurethane coatings and foams. It can accelerate the chemical reaction between alcohol and isocyanate thus allowing optimum steering of the drying properties.
- It is an ideal replacement for other polyurethane catalysts, especially for tertiary amines and DBTL.
- It ensures fast blocking stability and higher film hardness.
- It shows improved solvent resistance and earlier sanding of the coating.
- It is designed for use in automotive refinish, general industrial and coil coatings.
- The dosage level of Borchi® Kat 24 is 0.01 and 0.03% product, calculated on total solid binder.
