Basonat® HA 1000 (old name: Basonat® HA 100) by BASF is an allophanate-modified polyisocyanate based on isocyanurated hexamethylene diisocyanate. Offers lightfastness and weather-resistance. Is a solvent-free, low-viscosity, polyfunctional isocyanate. It can be diluted with esters (butyl acetate), ketones (methyl ethyl ketone), glycol ether acetates (methoxypropyl acetate) or aromatic hydrocarbons (Solvesso 100, xylene). Used to crosslink most hydroxy acrylic resins. Recommended for high solids, two-pack polyurethane coatings. Suitable for interior & exterior general industrial metal coating, plastic component coating, wood coatings for floor, furniture, or millwork, and automotive OEM or refinish applications. Basonat® HA 1000 is listed with TSCA § 5 PMN, OSHA and EPCRA 311/312.
