Proxel® LS Preservative

Proxel® LS Preservative was earlier part of Lonza but now is a part of Arxada portfolio. Proxel® LS Preservative by Arxada is a formaldehyde-, MIT- and VOC-free 1, 2-Benzisothiazolin-3-one (BIT). Acts as a dual-active biocide/preservative. It benefits from the use of two complementary active ingredients providing an enhanced antimicrobial efficacy and robust, long-term protection from bacteria, yeasts and molds. This novel formulation offers powerful broad-spectrum protection at target dose levels that will not trigger the EU H208 allergen phrase. Offers a non-specific mode of action so that bacterial resistance is unlikely. It does not release formaldehyde. It is cost-effective, non-volatile, pH & temperature stable, have low mammalian toxicity and biodegrade in effluent systems. Proxel® LS Preservative is suitable for wet-state in-can preservation of water-based industrial paints, coatings and inks. Liquid formulations allow for easy addition and dosing.
