Proxel® GXL

Proxel® GXL by Arxada is a preservative used for industrial water-based products against spoilage from bacteria, yeasts, and fungi. It has a non-specific mode of action which means that bacterial resistance is very unlikely to occur. <br> <ul style="padding-left: 40px;"><li> It boils without flashing and is stable in the presence of amines. </li> <li> The concentration of Proxel® GXL required to adequately preserve a product depends on several factors which include susceptibility of the system to microbiological degradation, extent to which micro-organisms can gain access, species involved, pH, temperature, and length of time for which protection is required. </li> <li> Proxel® GXL is suitable for use in synthetic polymer emulsions, emulsion paints, printing inks, paper coating compositions. </li> <li> The recommended dosage is 0.05-0.15% w/w for the applications. </li> </ul>

Mergal® K10N

Mergal® K10N by Arxada is a microbiostat wet-state preservative. It is designed to inhibit growth of bacteria, yeast and fungi in aqueous-based formulations. It offers long-lasting, broad-spectrum protection in a solvent- and surfactant-free formulation. It is highly heat-resistant, pH-stable, and remains effective in the presence of amines. <br> <ul style="padding-left: 40px;"><li>The product has FDA clearances, is approved globally as an active ingredient. </li> <li>It is free from solvent, VOC, and formaldehyde.</li> <li>Mergal® K10N is used in paints, textile coatings and inks.</li> <li>Recommended usage level is 0.1-0.5%.</li> <li>It has a shelf life of 24 months.</li></ul>

It is an aqueous dispersion of a blend of 1,2-benzisothiazolin-3-one and zinc 2-pyridine-thiol-1- oxide.<br> <ul style="padding-left: 40px;"><li> It offers effective control of a wide range of bacterial and fungal organisms at economic concentrations.</li> <li> It exhibits long-term storage stability.</li> <li> It provides ease of use due to its liquid form and very good compatibility in most aqueous systems.</li> <li> Proxel® BZ Plus is used in paints and stains.</li> </ul>
