Deuteron® XG
by Deuteron
Deuteron® XG by Deuteron is an anionic heteropolysaccharide (xanthan gum). Acts as a thickening agent and stabilizer. Shows a characteristic extreme high pseudo-plasticity, i.e. the viscosity lowers, if the shearing stress increases. Deuteron® XG drops back immediately to the initial value after the shearing stress ceases. Prevents the settling of pigments/extenders and the separation of the liquid phases during the storage in aqueous systems such as emulsion paints as well as plasters. Is compatible with most binders and thickeners which are customary in the paint industry. Used in all aqueous systems, such as dispersion paints (emulsion paints), emulsion plasters, aqueous insulating primers, glues, slurries, water soluble lacquers and printing inks.
Dosage: Depending upon requirements 0,1 - 0.5 % calculated on the water proportion in the product.
Deuteron® VT 819
by Deuteron
Deuteron® VT 819 by Deuteron is an anionic heteropolysaccharide (xanthan gum). It acts as a thickening agent and stabilizer. It shows high pseudo-plasticity, i.e. the viscosity lowers, if the shearing stress increases. It prevents the settling of pigments/extenders and the separation of the liquid phases during the storage in aqueous systems such as emulsion paints as well as plasters. Deuteron® VT 819 is compatible with most binders and thickeners which are customary in the paint industry. Deuteron® VT 819 is used in aqueous primers, emulsion paints, dispersion plasters, printing inks, silicate paints, aqueous preparations of pigments and fillers. Recommended dosage is 0.1-1% for thickening/gel formation. It has a shelf life of 24 months.
Xanthan Gum
by Jungbunzlauer
Xanthan Gum by Jungbunzlauer acts as a stabilizer, thickener and suspending agent. It is a hydrocolloid with excellent freeze/thaw stability, high pseudoplasticity (shear-thinning) and high viscosity at low concentration. It is suitable for inks and coatings applications.
- It helps to suspend abrasive components of polishes and solids in ceramic glazes.
- It controls rheology, stabilizes pigments and inhibits drip off in water-based paints.
- It is compatible with most commercial thickeners and stabilizers.
- It is highly resistant to pH & temperature variations and enzymatic degradation.
- Xanthan Gum complies with US FDA in accordance with 21 CFR § 172.695.
- The recommended dosage level is 0.1-0.3%.

Deuteron® VT 855
by Deuteron
Deuteron® VT 855 by Deuteron is an anionic heteropolysaccharide (Xanthan Gum) in ethyllactate, stabilized. Acts as a thickening agent and stabilizer. Shows high pseudo-plasticity, i.e. the viscosity lowers, if the shearing stress increases. prevents a deposition of the pigments and fillers as well as a separation of the liquid phase during storage. Is compatible with most binders and thickeners which are customary in the paint industry. Deuteron® VT 855 is used for aqueous systems, such as dispersion paint, glue, dispersion plaster, water-dilutable lacquer, printing inks, silicate paint, aqueous pigment/filler preparations. Especially well suited for the building and do-it-yourself sectors. Dosage: Depending upon requirements 0,1 - 2.0 % calculated on the water proportion in the product.
ECOPOL -PP400S
by Economy Polymers & Chemicals
ECOPOL -PP400S by Economy Polymers & Chemicals is a chemically modified guar. Acts as a thickening agent. It is a high efficiency product and a cost effective alternative to high viscosity grade hydroxyethyl cellulose. Possesses excellent dispersibility. Used in aqueous emulsion paint systems. ECOPOL -PP400S provides for thixotropic, shear-thinning viscosity over a broad pH range and will not interfere with color development.
