Deuteron® XG

Supplied byDeuteron- Last Updated on Jul 23, 2024

Deuteron® XG by Deuteron is an anionic heteropolysaccharide (xanthan gum). Acts as a thickening agent and stabilizer. Shows a characteristic extreme high pseudo-plasticity, i.e. the viscosity lowers, if the shearing stress increases. Deuteron® XG drops back immediately to the initial value after the shearing stress ceases. Prevents the settling of pigments/extenders and the separation of the liquid phases during the storage in aqueous systems such as emulsion paints as well as plasters. Is compatible with most binders and thickeners which are customary in the paint industry. Used in all aqueous systems, such as dispersion paints (emulsion paints), emulsion plasters, aqueous insulating primers, glues, slurries, water soluble lacquers and printing inks. Dosage: Depending upon requirements 0,1 - 0.5 % calculated on the water proportion in the product.
