VCM by SABIC is a reactive gas with a faint odor chloroethene. It is converted into liquid with a density of 0.91 gm/cm<sup>3</sup>, under refrigeration. It is sparingly soluble in water and alcohol. It is used in the production of polyvinyl chloride (PVC).
