Pentalyn® FC by Pinova (DRT) is a pentaerythritol ester of maleic anhydride-modified wood rosin. Acts as a tackifier. It is a pale, high softening point, high acid number, thermoplastic resin. It is highly soluble in typical organic solvents as well as in dilute aqueous solutions of alkalies, including ammonia. Pentalyn® FC is particularly suitable for modifying compositions based on alcohol-soluble and water-soluble film formers. It contributes high gloss, block resistance, fast solvent release and good adhesion. Pentalyn® H-A by Pinova (DRT) is a pentaerythritol ester of wood rosin that has been stabilized by hydrogenation. Acts as a synthetic resin, a hard, pale amber, thermoplastic resin designed primarily as a tackifying resin. It contributes improved resistance to oxidation, greater heat stability, better retention of color, and greater retention of tack-imparting properties than ordinary rosin esters. Has applications as tackifier in pressure-sensitive adhesives needing heat, light, oxidation, and moisture resistance, tackifier for natural rubber, neoprene and SBR latex based adhesives. It is readily formulated into solvent and hot melt type adhesives. Pentalyn® H by Pinova (DRT) is a pentaerythritol ester of wood rosin that has been stabilized by hydrogenation. Acts as a tackifier. It is a synthetic and hard thermoplastic resin.<br>

<li>It is heat, light and moisture stable and exhibits excellent pigment wetting properties and high refractive index.</li>
<li>Compared with rosin esters derived from glycerol, this ester is a larger molecule and has about a 20°C higher softening point.</li>
<li>Pentalyn® A is used in hot melt and pressure sensitive adhesives.</li></ul> Pentalyn® G by Pinova is a maleic-modified pentaerythritol ester of rosin. Acts as a tackifier. It is a hard, pale amber, thermoplastic resin. It is soluble in aliphatic hydrocarbon resin. Offers excellent pigment wetting, good solubility & compatibility, good color retention, high gloss and adhesion. Pentalyn® G is used in adhesives, particularly rubber-based solvent cements where high bonding strength, but minimal dry tack, is desired.
