Bayhydur® by Covestro is a range of water-dispersible, hydrophilically modified aliphatic polyisocyanate crosslinkers based on hexamethylene diisocyanate (HDI) used as hardeners and binders in waterborne adhesive and sealant systems. The portfolio disperses readily in the aqueous phase, even under low shear, and is widely used for formulating water-based polyurethane adhesive systems.

Bayhydur® 304

Bayhydur® 304 by Covestro acts as a crosslinking agent in waterborne adhesive systems. It is a solvent-free, hydrophilically modified, aliphatic polyisocyanate based on hexamethylene diisocyanate (HDI).<br> <ul style="padding-left: 40px;"><li>It shows good compatibility with the solvents listed esters, ether esters, xylene and solvent naphtha® 100. </li> <li>Because of its hydrophilic character, it can be easily emulsified in the aqueous phase. </li> <li>The dosage level of 3-10% of Bayhydur® 304 is recommended to crosslink adhesive dispersions containing 40-60% polymer. </li> <li>It has a shelf life of 9 months.</li></ul>

Bayhydur® eco 7190

Bayhydur® eco 7190 by Covestro is a hydrophilic aliphatic polyisocyanate based on pentamethylene diisocyanate (PDI) for waterborne two-component polyurethane systems where reliable incorporation and high chemical resistances are required. It is supplied in approx. 90 % in propylene glycol diacetate. It can be easily dispersed in the aqueous phase, even at low shear forces such as typically found in trade applications where manual mixing is required. It has good miscibility with both acrylic polyols as well as polyurethane dispersions. Bayhydur® eco 7190 is compatible with organic solvents such as esters or ethers.

Bayhydur® 302

Bayhydur® 302 by Covestro is a solvent-free, water-dispersible polyisocyanate based on hexamethylene diisocyanate (HDI). Its suitable co-reactants are hydroxyl-functional waterborne resins such as Bayhydrol® A-145. Bayhydur® 302 is suitable for formulating adhesives. It has a shelf life of 6 months.

Bayhydur® BL 5335

Bayhydur® BL 5335 by Covestro is hydrophilized, blocked aliphatic polyisocyanate based on Desmodur® W. Can be thinned with water. It has only partial compatibility with glycol ethers and alcohols. Recommended storage temperature of Bayhydur® BL 5335 is 5-23 °C.
