Bayhydur® 304 by Covestro acts as a crosslinking agent in waterborne adhesive systems. It is a solvent-free, hydrophilically modified, aliphatic polyisocyanate based on hexamethylene diisocyanate (HDI).
- It shows good compatibility with the solvents listed esters, ether esters, xylene and solvent naphtha® 100.
- Because of its hydrophilic character, it can be easily emulsified in the aqueous phase.
- The dosage level of 3-10% of Bayhydur® 304 is recommended to crosslink adhesive dispersions containing 40-60% polymer.
- It has a shelf life of 9 months.
