Chiguard® P by Chitec Technology is an ultraviolet (UV) light stabilizer. It absorbs photochemical energy emitted by UV light and dissipates it as thermal energy at a rate and in an amount that is harmless to surrounding environments.<br>
<ul style="padding-left: 40px;"><li>Offers protection without adversely affecting initial color and improved weathering stability in combination with hindered amine light stabilizers such as Chiguard® 770 and 944.</li>
<li>It can be incorporated in monomer before polymerization (often with improvement of resin quality).</li>
<li>Chiguard® P is compatible with polyester, high impact polystyrene, crystalline polystyrene, polyurethanes, acrylics, polycarbonate, PVC, acetals & cellulose esters, natural- and synthetic rubber such as ABS & SAN.</li></ul> Chiguard® 234 by Chitec Technology is an off-white, crystalline ultraviolet (UV) light absorber. It is composed of 2-[2-hydroxy-3,5-di-(1,1-dimethylbenzyl)]-2H-benzotriazole.<br>
<ul style="padding-left: 40px;"><li>Exhibits lowest volatility and provides protection against ultraviolet (UV) radiation.</li>
<li>It is compatible with PET, PBT, polycarbonate, polyacetal copolymer (POM), nylon and TPE.</li>
<li>Suitable for use in adhesives involving high temperature processing.</li>
<li>The recommended usage level of Chiguard® 234 is 0.1 to 5%.</li></ul> Chiguard® 5411 by Chitec Technology is a high molecular weight ultraviolet (UV) light absorber. It is composed of 2-(2'-Hydroxy-5'-tert-octylphenyl)-benzotriazole.<br> <ul style="padding-left: 40px;"><li>Exhibits low volatility, high lipophilicity, excellent wash fastness, improved light stability and light protection.</li>
<li>It is useful where additive losses may occur during high temperature processing.</li>
<li>Compatible with polyolefins and cold-cured polyester resin.</li>
<li>It is suitable for use in adhesives.</li>
<li>The recommended usage level of Chiguard® 5411 is 0.2 to 1.0%.</li></ul> Chiguard® 336 by Chitec Technology is a pale yellow colored, 2-ethylhexyl- 2-cyano-3,3-diphenyl acrylate. Acts as a ultraviolet (UV) light absorber (280nm to 320 nm) and an efficient light stabilizer against very high energy UV radiation. It is easy to handle. Shows immunity to metals and retention of efficiency over a wide range of pH values. Chiguard® 336 is compatible with thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) and acrylic resin. Suitable for use in adhesives. Chiguard® A-680 is a blend. Acts as a ultraviolet (UV) light stabilizer. Provides excellent light and weather induced degradation. It is highly soluble in organic solvents. Suitable for use in polyurethane adhesives. The use levels range between 0.2% and 3%. Chiguard® BP-12 by Chitec Technology is a 2-hydroxy-4-n-octyloxybenzophenone. Acts as an ultraviolet (UV) light absorber. Offers protection from losing elasticity & mechanical strength, brittleness, yellowing, color change, change in physical properties (elongation, impact and tensile strength) and appearance of dark spots. Compatible with low & high density polyethylene, natural & pigmented polypropylene (0.25% to 0.5% dosage) and plasticized & non-plasticized polyvinyl chloride (PVC). Chiguard® BP-12 is used in adhesives. Chiguard® 335 by Chitec Technology is a white colored ethyl- 2-cyano-3,3-diphenyl acrylate. Acts as an ultraviolet (UV) light absorber. Protects materials without imparting color. Suitable for use in acetals, urethanes and rigid & flexible PVC formulations. Chiguard® 335 is used in adhesives. Chiguard® 5228WB by Chitec Technology is a nano-grade, neutral benzotriazole. Acts as a water-borne UV absorber. It is more resistant to freeze-thaw cycles. Possesses the advantage of high storage stability. Chiguard® 5228WB is suitable for water-based adhesives applications. Chiguard® 291 by Chitec Technology is a white to off-white colored blend of bis(2,2,6,6,-tetramethyl-4-piperidinyl) decanedioate and N,N'-bis(2,2,6,6-Tetramethyl-4-piperidinyl)-1,6-hexanediamine (synergistic blend of Chiguard 770 (LMWH) and Chiguard 944 (HMWH)). Acts as a ultraviolet (UV) light absorber. Suitable for efficient and long-term protection of polyolefins such as PP, PE, PP/EPDM and PP/PE/EPDM blends from the damage of UV radiation. Due to its synergistic effect, it is especially good for thick applications where the efficacy and long term protection are needed to be considered at the same time. The recommended usage levels of Chiguard® 291 is 0.1 to 0.6%. Chiguard® 5571 by Chitec Technology is a linear and branched 2-(2H-Benzotriazol-2-yl)-6-dodecyl-4-methyl phenol (hydroxy phenyl benzotriazole). Acts as a ultraviolet (UV) light absorber. Exhibits low volatility and shows very good compatibility with various polymers like PUR, PVC, PMMA, and polyesters. Chiguard® 5571 is a viscous clear yellow liquid. Used in adhesives.
