AQUACER® 1063 by BYK is a polyethylene primary dispersion to improve the anti-caking properties of hot-melt adhesives and to increase adhesion in aqueous dispersion adhesives for the packaging sector.

It is used as an anti-blocking additive in the manufacture of hot-melt adhesives (hot-melts) during underwater pelletizing to obtain a free-flowing, non-sticky granulates.

It is added directly into the cooling water and is therefore easy to handle and dust-free.

When bonding foil-laminated surfaces with paper or cardboard, it improves the adhesion of the laminated side.

It exhibits good adhesion even at low temperatures.

It shows no discoloration when bonding systems are stored at higher temperatures.

It complies with REACH, EU No. 10/2011, BfR XXXVI, FDA 21 CFR 176.170 and FDA 21 CFR 176.180.

Recommended dosage level is 0.5-5% (hot-melt adhesive) and 10-50% (in packaging).

AQUACER® 1063 has a shelf life of 15 months.

AQUACER® 581 by BYK is a non-ionic emulsion of carnauba wax. It is an anti-caking additive for hotmelts. AQUACER® 581 is a temperature sensitive grade and temperature for transport and storage must be between 5°C and 35°C. It improves the surface properties like slip, scratch resistance, abrasion resistance and anti-blocking of water-borne formulations. AQUACER® 531 by BYK is a non-ionic emulsion based on a modified polyethylene wax. It is an anti-caking and anti-blocking additive for hotmelts. AQUACER® 531 is a temperature sensitive grade and temperature for transport and storage must be between 5°C and 35°C. It improves the surface properties like slip, scratch resistance and rub resistance. Recommended dosage is 0.5-5% based upon amount of water in the cooling circuit.
