BYK® -3450

BYK® -3450 by BYK is polyether-modified siloxane-based surfactant. It imparts significant reduction in the surface tension of aqueous adhesive systems even at a low dosage. It offers improved substrate wetting on non-polar substrates such as polyethylene, polypropylene and siliconized separating films. It encourages the spreading of aqueous systems on the substrate. It can be used in thin-layered applications. It shows low foam stabilization. It is suitable for all aqueous adhesive systems especially for aqueous contact adhesive dispersions and sealants. The dosage level of BYK® -3450 is 0.05-1% based on the total formulation.

BYK® -014

BYK® -014 by BYK is a mixture of foam-destroying polymers, fat derivatives and hydrophobic particles. Acts as a mineral oil and silicone-free polymeric defoamer. Shows optimum efficiency at low dosage, is acid- and alkaline resistant and can be used in a pH range of 3 - 12. It prevents foam during production and application. BYK® -014 is specifically recommended for VOC-free systems. Used for aqueous dispersion adhesives. Its recommended level is 0.1 - 0.8% based upon total formulation.
