Megapoly MG-49 by Akrochem is a modified, high performance, specialty natural rubber prepared by graft polymerization of polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) into a natural rubber latex. It is used in solution adhesives especially pressure-sensitive adhesives for bonding dissimilar materials. It possesses high hardness/modulus, good physical properties and impact resistance. It can be blended with natural rubbers for intermediate durometers. Megapoly MG-49 provides good viscosity and scorch properties.
