Permalyn™ 8120 by Synthomer is a tackifier. Possesses lower color, better color stability, higher heat stability, superior adhesion and higher softening point than typical pentaerythritol rosin esters. Used in hot melt adhesives, packaging, pressure sensitive adhesives, tapes and labels. Compatible with natural and synthetic rubbers, EVA, EBA, SIS and SBS block copolymers, polychloroprene and pure phenolic resins. Permalyn™ 8120 is also used in SBR, acrylic resins, natural gums, amorphous polypropylene, paraffins and chlorinated paraffins.
