KRISTALEX™ 3115LV Hydrocarbon Resin by Synthomer a water clear, highly color stable thermoplastic hydrocarbon resin. It is a low molecular weight resin with low organic volatile content. Exhibits excellent thermal stability and high softening point. It is based on purified 8-9 carbon aromatic monomers.
- It shows good compatibility with EVA (upto 30% vinyl acetate) and is suitable for hot-melt & low-color adhesives with improved high temperature resistance.
- In styrenic block copolymer based adhesives it preferentially associates with the styrenic endblocks, producing higher cohesion at temperatures up to 70°C without affecting tack and adhesion properties.
- KRISTALEX™ 3115LV Hydrocarbon Resin shows compatibility with styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR) and SBR block copolymers, neoprene, nitrile, polybutadiene, acrylic polymers, chlorinated rubber, EVA resins, styrenated alkyds, vinylated alkyds, drying oil alkyds, rosin ester resins.
- It is also compatible with polyvinylchloride, acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene, as well as modifying the styrenic endblocks of all styrene-containing block copolymers.
- Recommended for automotive, caulk and sealants, labels, specialty tapes, packaging tapes and other adhesive applications.
