KRISTALEX™ 3100 Hydrocarbon Resin by Synthomer is a water-white, highly color stable, nonpolar, low molecular weight thermoplastic polymer. Exhibits excellent thermal stability, intermediate softening point and is made from purified aromatic monomers.
- It shows good compatibility with EVA (upto 30% vinyl acetate) and is suitable for hot-melt & low-color adhesives with good low temperature properties.
- In styrenic block copolymer based adhesives, it preferentially associates with the styrenic endblocks, producing higher room-temperature cohesion without affecting tack and adhesion properties.
- KRISTALEX™ 3100 Hydrocarbon Resin shows compatibility with styrene-butadiene rubber, SBR block copolymers, neoprene, nitrile, polybutadiene, acrylic polymers, chlorinated rubber EVA resins, styrenated alkyds, vinylated alkyds, drying oil alkyds, rosin resins and EHEC, as well as modifying the styrenic endblocks of all styrene-containing block copolymers.
- Recommended for assembly, caulks and sealants, labels, roofing, hygiene adhesives, specialty tapes, packaging tapes, packaging and other adhesive applications.
