OS® 4025 by Solstice Advanced Materials is blend of VOS [vinyl tris(MEKO)silane] and TOS [tetrakis(MEKO)silane]. Acts as crosslinking agent. It is a clear, colorless to pale yellow fluid with a typical smell of MEKO. Offers consistent formulations, good shelf life and low cost. It is non-corrosive to most materials and readily undergoes hydrolysis upon contact with moisture. OS® 4025 manufactures 1-part neutral cure silicone sealant and typically used alone or in combination with other oximesilane crosslinkers to fine-tune the cure profile of the sealant in order to provide crack resistant properties. OS® 4025 can cure relatively well without tin catalyst and hence also used in sealant applications where the use of tin is to be avoided.
