SiSiB® PC2320 SILANE

Gamma-mercaptopropyltriethoxysilane. It acts as coupling agent and adhesion promoter. It is colorless to slight yellowish liquid with a slightly mercaptan odor. It improves the adhesion of sulfur cured elastomers (polysulfide, polyurethane sealants) to inorganic materials. It is a bifunctional organosilane possessing a reactive organic mercapto and a hydrolyzable inorganic methoxysilyl group. It can be used to improve properties like modulus, tensile and tear strength, abrasion resistance, cure time etc. It has applications in adhesives and sealants.
