Silquest™ A-1871 Silane

Silquest™ A-1871 Silane by Momentive Performance Materials is an epoxy functional, silane-based adhesion promoter used in polysulfide, urethane, epoxy and acrylic caulks, sealants and adhesives. Acts as a cross-linking agent in some resin systems, water-borne latexes and dispersion; acrylic, styrene acrylic or other co-polymers, polyurethane or epoxy dispersion.

It improves tensile strength, substrate adhesion in many glass, metal and water-based acrylic and vinyl-acrylic caulks.

It exhibits outstanding chemical resistance and mechanical properties.

It enhances electrical properties of epoxy based electronic encapsulants and packaging materials.

Silquest™ A-1871 Silane reduces the risk of semiconductor or integrated circuit failure as a result of water ingress or surface corrosion.
