Tylac® 7506 by Mallard Creek Polymers is a vinyl-acetate ethylene copolymer powder which readily disperses in water to form a stable emulsion. It offers enhanced adhesion, flexural strength, plasticity and workability of modified compounds without appreciably affecting flow, thixotropy or water retention.
- It is especially recommended for blending with inorganic binders such as cement, gypsum, and hydrated lime, or as a sole binder for making construction adhesives and seals.
- It is soft, flexible, has relatively high ethylene content and glass transition temperature is below freezing point.
- It can be used in tile adhesives, plasters and thermal insulation systems.
- Tylac® 7506 is compatible with mortar additives which are used to achieve special processing characteristics.
- Its water repellency can be significantly affected by additives such as antifoam agents, thickeners, anti-flow additives, flow improvers, superplasticizer agents, retarders, water retention agents and general surfactants.
- It imparts excellent plasticity to building materials even at low temperatures when added in sufficient amounts.
- It prevents water penetration when added in very high amount.
- Designed for tile & grout and EIFS & stucco.
- Higher plasticity of compositions enhanced with Tylac® 7506 is only observed when over 5% is added based on total weight.
