Dynasylan® VPS 4721

Dynasylan® VPS 4721 by Evonik functions as a crosslinking agent, adhesion promoter and/or surface modifier. It is a high molecular weight, bifunctional organosilane possessing a reactive organic epoxide and hydrolyzable inorganic methoxysilyl groups. It can bind chemically to both inorganic materials including glass, metals, fillers as well as organic polymers such as thermosets, thermoplastics and elastomers. It is a novel ingredient for sealants and adhesives as a primer or additive. Offers improved flexural strength, tensile strength, impact strength and modulus of elasticity. Provides improved moisture & corrosion resistance and electrical properties including dielectric constant and volume resistivity. Exhibits better adhesion on substrates and improved storage stability of formulations. It can be used for filler dispersions, viscosity reduction, increased filler loading and non yellowing applications. Suitable for epoxy, phenolic, PU, PVAC, acrylates and polysulfides. Shelf life of Dynasylan® VPS 4721 is 12 months.
