Dynasylan® 40 by Evonik is an ethyl polysilicate grade. Acts as an adhesion promoter. It is a low viscosity liquid with silicon dioxide content of 40%. It is formed in the presence of water from tetraethyl silicate by partial hydrolysis of the ethoxy groups to hydroxyl groups and subsequent condensation with formation of siloxane bonds (SiOSi). Dynasylan® 40 is listed in EINECS/ELINCS, AICS, DSL/NDSL, PICCS, TSCA, IECS, ENCS, ECL and REACH. It has a minimum shelf life of 12 months.
