HYPALON® CP 826 by Dow is a chlorinated, maleic anhydride grafted polypropylene. It is used as an adhesion primer for polypropylene, polypropylene blends with TPOs in auto bumpers, polyurethane foam in athletic shoe construction. It is suitable for EVA with high levels of PE in athletic shoes, wash primer or tie layer between materials that are difficult to adhere in dilute solutions. It is used as adhesion modifier because of its solubility in common solvents. HYPALON® CP 826 shows very good adhesion to polypropylene and blends containing polypropylene, plastics and metals.
