Polyolefin Resins

Based on 395 products - Last update on the Jun 26, 2025

Polyolefins appear as translucent to opaque materials with excellent moisture resistance and chemical stability. Key features include excellent water and chemical resistance, good electrical properties, and clean burnoff characteristics. Polyolefin adhesives perform exceptionally well in applications requiring moisture barrier properties, making them ideal for packaging, wire and cable production, and nonwoven assembly.

Sub-types include polyethylene-based adhesives offering excellent moisture resistance, polypropylene varieties with enhanced temperature stability, olefin copolymers providing improved adhesion to polar substrates, and other modified grades. Recent innovations focus on recyclable polyolefin adhesives and the development of metallocene-catalyzed polyolefins with enhanced performance properties.

A-C® 1375

by Solstice Advanced Materials

A-C® 1375 by Solstice Advanced Materials is a low-density polyethylene (LDPE) homopolymer stabilized with antioxidant. It acts as a viscosity diluent in HMAs. It improves surface properties such as rub, mar and abrasion resistance by lowering the COF. A-C® 1375 works as a substitute for FT (Fisher Tropsch) wax in adhesive applications without detracting from formulation properties.

VESTOPLAST® 807

by Evonik

VESTOPLAST® 807 by Evonik is a hard and crystalline polyalphaolefin grade. It offers increased tear strength, high softening point, high viscosity, good thermal stability under load and short open time. It is ideally suited for adhesion on polypropylene. VESTOPLAST® 807 is used in hot melt adhesives for automotive and woodworking industry. It is AIIC, DSL, TSCA, ChemO, IECSC, RECAH, ENCS, KECL, INSQ, NZIoC, PICCS and TCSI registered. It has a shelf life of 3 years.
