Pearlstick™ 45-80/16

Pearlstick™ 45-80/16 distributed by Bjørn Thorsen is an elastic, linear, aromatic thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) with a small amount of anti-adherent in the formulation. It has a very low crystallization rate and very low thermoplasticity level. It is suitable for bonding processes that do not require heat activation (cold bonding).

• It is used in the production of solvent-based adhesives for variety of materials such as leather, textiles, rubber and a variety of plastics (plasticized PVC, PU elastomers).
• Pearlstick™ 45-80/16 allows the production of adhesives with a very long open-time.
• Its addition to other different types of Pearlstick™ increases their open-times.
• A polyfunctional isocyanate is added to improve the heat-resistance and the strength of the joints.
