Thermoreactive phenol formaldehyde resin blended with zinc oxide. It is used in curing butyl, elastomers with low unsaturation. Provides improved mixing and better dispersion of the curing ingredients compared to adding the resin and zinc oxide separately thanks to a more consistent product, better physical properties and prolonged bladder life. Main uses are in pharmaceutical parts, masking tapes, butyl curing bladders, air bags, seals and products which are subjected to high heat and steam. Sovrez 7530 ZB by Sovereign Chemical is butyl dispersion. Dispersion form improves dispersion in butyl compounds and produces a highly uniform final product. Higher reactivity than Sovrez 30 with R&B of 80-95°C. Reinforcing resin with R&B of 90-105°C. Used in synthetic and natural rubber based compounds as a reinforcing resin in the bead area of tires and in some manufactured rubber goods such as shoe soles and weather-stripping profiles. It shows good processing characteristics (long scorch, low compounded viscosity) combined with high cured hardness. Tall-oil modified phenol formaldehyde novolak with 10% HMT. High performance tackifying resin with R&B of 120-140ºC. Best for initial tack and aged tack even after several days of storage under adverse conditions. Will outperform products costing considerably more. Used in race tires, tread cements, splice cements, belts and hoses. Thermoreactive resin with R&B of 110-120°C. Mainly used in solvent-based polychloroprene or nitrile adhesives. Lends excellent green tack, cohesive strength, light color, good heat resistance and excellent storage. Synthetic modified resin, with R&B of 90-105ºC, more consistent in performance than cashew modified resins. Reinforcing resins are widely used in tire beads, apex strips, sidewalls, shoe soles, and co-extruded window profiles. Cashew modified phenol formaldehyde novolak with 10% HMT. Cashew modified reinforcing resin with R&B of 90-105ºC. Applications same as Sovrez 59.
