Sovchem® MBS (MOR) Granule by Sovereign Chemical is a sulfenamide. Acts as a curing/crosslinking agent and is a fast delayed action accelerator. Has the longest scorch delay of the delayed action thiazole and sulfenamide accelerators making it ideal for calendered compounds such as steel belt and textile skim compounds. It is particularly suited for brass coated steel belt adhesion skim compounds. MBS is excellent in compounds that are highly loaded with fine particle size carbon blacks and are difficult to process. Also used in conveyor power transmission belts, rubber goods with thick cross sections, intricately shaped rubber goods, rubber footwear, injection molded goods, cables and other miscellaneous molded and extruded rubber products. Used for natural rubber and most synthetic elastomers. It is very active above 140C. Promotes a balance of mono-, di- and poly-sulfidic crosslinks resulting in vulcanizates with a good balance between heat aging resistance and tear resistance. At high concentrations, MBS will give slight discoloration in light colored or white rubber articles on exposure to sunlight. Sovchem® MBS (MOR) Granule is non-staining and FDA approved. 80% dispersion in paraffinic oil.
Sulfur donor.
Produces a high percentage of monosulfidic crosslinks that result in vulcanizates with superior aging characteristics.
Can be used as either complete or partial replacement for sulfur and sulfur donors(DTDM and thiurams) in EV and semi-EV type cure systems.
Does not generate nitrosamines. Sovchem® MBTS Powder by Sovereign Chemical is a benzothiazole, 2, 2’-dithiobis. Acts as a curing agent, plasticizer, retarder and secondary accelerator. It moderately fast cures in NR and SR. Also used in a wide range of general purpose rubber compounds. It is non-staining and non-discoloring in “white” socks. Used as a plasticizer and retarder in polychloroethylene rubber. Secondary acceleration is usually required
for synthetic polymers. Offers better scorch safety than MBT. It has a shelf life of 2 years. Fast-curing ultra-accelerator for NBR, EPDM & most other polymers. May be used alone or with thiazoles. Cure modifier in CR: retards G-types, accelerates W-types. TMTD can also act as a sulfur donor for semi-EV and EV-type cure systems. Vulcanizates that are cured with TMTD used as an accelerator with little or no sulfur have excellent aging properties. Sovchem® MBT Powder by Sovereign Chemical is a 2-Mercaptobenzothiazole. Acts as a acid accelerator currently and a medium fast primary accelerator. Imparts excellent aging properties when used both alone and in combination with many basic accelerators. Its accelerative temperature is low and the product can easily be dispersed with lower pollution. Mainly used in manufacture of tires, tubes, foot wear, rubber belts, and hoses.
