Di Basic Lead Stearate (DBLS) by Pratham Metchem is di basic lead stearate. It acts as a lubricant & heat stabilizer at high temperatures during PVC processing. Appears as a white powder and have free lead oxide and free fatty acid content. The free lead oxide contributes towards the stability, whereas the free fatty acid helps in lubrication, both working well at high temperatures. Di Basic Lead Stearate (DBLS) is also applicable for cable manufacturing, calendering operations and extrusions.
Zinc salt of stearic acid. It acts as a metal releasing agent and lubricant which can be easily incorporated. It appears as a white colored powder and is insoluble in water, but dissolves well in aromatic compounds like benzene and chlorinated hydrocarbons on heating. It is insoluble in alcohol as well as in ethers and does not contain any electrolyte. It is used in rubber, polyurethane and polyester processing system.
Insoluble salt of calcium, stearic acid and palmatic acid. It acts as a stabilizer for PVC resins and lubricant for plastic molding powders or tablets. It appears as a white colored powder and is non toxic. It is insoluble in water, ether, chloroform, acetone, cold alcohol as well. However, it is slightly soluble when dissolved in hot alcohol, hot vegetable and mineral oil and shows good solubility in hot pyridine. Its use has been extended as a neutralizer, color stabilizer, reducer of fiber breakage and de-agglomerator in PP and HDPE applications.
