Di Basic Lead Stearate (DBLS) by Pratham Metchem is di basic lead stearate. It acts as a lubricant & heat stabilizer at high temperatures during PVC processing. Appears as a white powder and have free lead oxide and free fatty acid content. The free lead oxide contributes towards the stability, whereas the free fatty acid helps in lubrication, both working well at high temperatures. Di Basic Lead Stearate (DBLS) is also applicable for cable manufacturing, calendering operations and extrusions.
Zinc salt of stearic acid. It acts as a metal releasing agent and lubricant which can be easily incorporated. It appears as a white colored powder and is insoluble in water, but dissolves well in aromatic compounds like benzene and chlorinated hydrocarbons on heating. It is insoluble in alcohol as well as in ethers and does not contain any electrolyte. It is used in rubber, polyurethane and polyester processing system.
Aluminum salt of stearic acid. It acts as a lubricant in polyamides and in thermosetting of plastics. It is a white colored powder and dissolves well in vegetable oils on heating and if high concentration is used, on cooling gelling is seen. It is insoluble in water, alcohol and ether however, soluble in glycol, alkali, BTX, chlorinated hydrocarbons.
