Pamsorb-234 is 2-(2H-benzatriazol-2-yl)-4, 6-bis (1-methyl-1-phenylethyl) phenol. Acts as a light stabilizer. It exhibits strong absorbance in the 300-400 nm regions and minimal absorbance in the visible (above 400 nm) of the spectrum. It can be used in combination with HALS or antioxidant. It is suitable for applications characterized by high surface area such as films and fiber. It protects organic polymers as well as pigments from UV light. It has worldwide food contact approvals in most polymers and especially suitable for packaging in food, personal care products and pharmaceuticals.
