1,2-Epoxy-4(2-oxiranyl)-cyclohexane of 2,2-bis(hydoroxymethyl)1-butanol. It acts as a curing agent. It has an extremely small amount of ionic substances devoid of sodium or chlorine ions. The terminal epoxy groups exhibits reactivity equivalent to that of glycidyl ether epoxy resins, and allows curing by various curing agents such as acid anhydrides, phenols, amines, and cations with a high Tg temperature. It shows a high weather-resistance and transparency as well as an excellent electronic properties (arc-resistance, tracking-resistance, etc. It is used in electronic printed circuit borad of LED, optical components and traditional area using epoxy resin.
