It is an excellent additive type fire retardant with over-all good performances. Also acts as a plasticizer. It appears as a white or light yellow resinoid solid, with good chemical stability, resistance to chemicals, solubility and anti-aging properties as well as good thermal stability. It is mainly used in rubbers and plastic products, conveying belt, cables, polyester, glass fibre reinforced plastic, polystyrene, polyethylene, epoxy resin etc.
