Tetrabromophthalate ester. Acts as flame retardant. Has good electrical and thermal properties. It can be used alone or, where allowed, in combination with antimony trioxide. Possesses good plasticizing properties and compatiblity with primary plasticizers. Used in in PVC applications such as wire & cable, wall coverings, carpet backing, film and sheet. It is commonly used in wire & cable jacketing formulations that require meeting UL 910standards.
