VESTENAMER® 8012 by Evonik is a polymeric processing aid and it acts as a plasticizer of rubber compounds in the mixing and manufacturing process. It also helps improve the dynamic properties of the vulcanized material and also used to recycle waste rubber.<br>
<ul style="padding-left: 40px;"><li> It is a semicrystalline polyolefine additive, also described as a transoctenamer rubber (TOR) since it is based on cyclooctene and shows a high proportion on trans-double bonds.</li>
<li> The trans-double-bond content of VESTENAMER® 8012 is nearly 80% which results in high crystallinity.</li>
<li> It is stabilized with sterically hindered phenolic antioxidants. </li>
<li>It has a low melting point and a high percentage of macrocycles (>30%). </li><li>VESTENAMER® 8012 has a minimum shelf life of five years.</li></ul>
