Methacroyloxyethyl phthalate (HEMA phthalate). It is an aromatic, carboxylic acid-containing monomer which lends itself to many adhesive applications where functionality of a methacrylate is needed. Complies with TSCA (Toxic Substances Control Act), DSL (Canadian Domestic Substances List), EINECS (European Inventory of Existing Commercial Chemical Substances) and Food and Drug Administration's 21 CFR.
