Iso-tridecyl thioglycolate by Bruno Bock is isotridecyl mercaptoacetate. Acts as a chain transfer agent. It reacts like other mercaptanes and shows longterm stability. Possesses an incompatibility with oxidizing agents, strongly alkaline and strongly acid materials in order to avoid exothermic reactions. The chain length of the alcohol varies between C10 branched and C14 branched with an average content of iC13 >= 70%. Iso-tridecyl thioglycolate is used in the manufacture of certain polymers.
