Repela™ for Rodents by Aversion Technologies is a non-toxic aversive masterbatch meant to deter rodents and other animals from chewing plastic materials. Repela™ for Rodents is compatible with most thermoplastic and thermosetting polymers. Its active ingredient (5%) is incorporated in ethylene vinyl acetate (=95%) and pelletized. It can be
simply added in the required quantity to the resin and extruded by the normal method with no change in the process parameters. Its applications include blow molding, extruded wires, extruded tubes, injection molding, rotational molding, cables and pipes. Recommended dosage rate is 3-5%. Repela™ Combi by Aversion Technologies is a masterbatch that combines powerful deterrents that effectively protect from chewing compounded materials, such as electric and fiber optic cables, plastic pipes, foam insulation, and many other materials. Repela™ Combi joins together the deterrents found in Repela for Rodents™ and Repela for Insects™ to offer protection from both. Its active ingredient (= 10%) is incorporated in ethylene vinyl acetate (=90%) and pelletized. It can be simply added in the required quantity to the resin and extruded by the normal method with no change in the process parameters. Its applications include blow molding, extruded wires, extruded tubes, injection molding, rotational molding, cables and pipes. Recommended dosage rate for insects is 1-3% and for rodents is 3-5%. Its applications include blow molding, extruded wires, extruded tubes, injection molding, rotational molding, cables and pipes. Recommended dosage rate is 3-5%. Repela™ for Insects by Aversion Technologies is a powerful insect masterbatch which, when incorporate into a plastic products, protects the product from insect damage. Its active ingredient (= 5%) is incorporated in ethylene vinyl acetate (=95%) and pelletized. The active ingredients involved, while harmless to mammals, cause nervous system disruption in insects. It prevents insects such as termites and agriculturally harmful insects from damaging polymer-based products and their surrounding environment. Repela™ for Insects prevents fire ants from making nests in electrical boxes. It is compatible with most polymers. Its applications include agricultural mulch, fruit and vegetable shipping boxes, electrical wires, fiber optic cables, plastic pipes, foam insulation and flower pots. Recommended dosage rate is 1-3%, depending on the application.
