KYNAR FLEX® PPA 2821

by Arkema

Medium viscosity fluoropolymer based on vinylidene fluoride and hexafluoropropylene. Acts as a polymeric processing aid. Mainly used in the form of a masterbatch. Designed to improve the extrusion of LLDPE, mPE and PP films. During the extrusion process, it adheres to the metallic surfaces of the processing equipment and creates a microfine coating on the barrel and die surfaces. This coating acts as a lubricant to reduce the apparent melt viscosity, lower both the die pressure and the melt temperature while increasing the output rate. Within the wire and cable industry, its use allows higher polyolefin outputs. When used for injection molding or pipe extrusion, the principal benefit is the improved surface finish. Compatible with PE, PP and PUR polymer systems. Use of antioxidant is recommended to avoid thermal degradation of host polymer.
