Copolymer of vinyl acetate and crotonic acid. Acts as a polymeric processing aid and an adhesion promoter. Allows easier processing or easier incorporation of difficult fillers and additives. Significantly lowers formulation viscosity. Provides shrinkage compensation. Improves surface quality and smoothness. Reduces deformation and tension in polyester-resin components. Offers good mechanical properties and enhanced adhesion to many substrates, such as paper, cardboard, wood, leather, glass, metal and plastic. Recommended for bulk molding compound, pultrusion, resin transfer molding and sheet molding compound. Compatible with unsaturated polyesters and polystyrenes.
