WARADUR® OPplus

WARADUR® OPplus by Voelpker is a montan wax consisting of esters of montanic acids with multihydroxyl alcohols. It is a dispersing agent for color masterbatches and filled (talc, glass fiber) plastics. It is made from a fossil and re-growing biological sources and contains an increased amount of calcium montanate, and fatty acid salts and -esters. It helps reduce- mold temperature in injection molding, melt temperature (compounding, injection molding, extrusion/blow molding), increase injection speeds during injection molding. WARADUR® OPplus helps improve surface quality of injection molded parts. With the use of this grade, higher filler contents under the same processing conditions and long flow paths can be monitored. It is compatible with thermoplastics such as PA, PBT, TPE, PC, PVC, styrenics and thermosets namely epoxy resins, phenolic resins, polyurethane. Recommended dosage is 0.3-0.6%. The minimum and maximum shelf life of WARADUR® OPplus is 1.5 and 5 years respectively.
