Norox® 425 by United Initiators is liquid form of t-butylperoxy-3,5,5-trimethylhexanoate, also known as t-butylperisononoate. It acts as an excellent free radical source (initiator) in the polymerization of monomers, especially styrene. Also acts as a curing agent for all types of unsaturated polyester and vinyl ester resins in a temperature range of 130°C to 160°C. It is technically pure and appears as a colorless liquid. It is used in SMC, BMC, impregnation and dipping processes. Norox® 425 recommended usage level is 1% to 2%, but this level can be lowered when combined with low or medium range initiators.
