Pamolyn™ 380 Conjugated Linoleic Acid by Synthomer is a pale, low odor, monoacid. It is produced synthetically by an Eastman process that isomerizes 9, 12-linoleic acid to the 9, 11-conjugated form and controls the production of the latter to a uniform ratio of cis-trans to trans-trans isomers. It contains 69% conjugated unsaturation and the remaining portion is primarily oleic and non-conjugated linoleic acid. It offers excellent heat color stability and low titer. Pamolyn™ 380 Conjugated Linoleic Acid is designed for polymer modification. It is also suitable for the production of polyfunctional chemical intermediates by Diels-alder chemistry.
